A bright and warm welcome by staff when dropping off, picking up, or on the phone. Attends to mothers needs in a polite manner. Mother visits daily for respite and other residents all look well presented and cared for by all the staff.

My mother only used to go two days, but by her own choice goes most days now, so that really speaks for itself.

I have been a resident here for approximately 7 months, and I am truly thankful to be here. It is as much like home as it can be, better in many ways. Everything we need is here. I enjoy my meals when they are served on time. We have the freedom of the home and a big private safe garden at the back, which I particularly love (weather permitting we have good use of).

We have regular visits from the chiropodist, reflexologist, hairdresser, a regular change of library books, etc. and no anxieties, night or day, you are never alone unless you want to be and we have our own room where we can go to if we wish. The staff I mustn’t forget, they are the best and you know they all really care. They even took us out to Sunday dinner in their care. Thanks also to the Manager/owner.

Everything is being done to make the residents feel happy and contented. There is a happy, relaxed feeling to the home and you are consulted about all things. You are able to talk to all staff, and they have an interest in each individual person. My worries about having to put my brother-in-law into a care home were soon taken care of they have been so very good to him.

My mother’s experience has been wonderful, lovely run home. My mother stays there 3 days a week and 1 week in every 5 weeks. Good for everyone concerned in the family.

This home is not over crowded as like many homes in the past she has been to. That is why Chestnut is a lovely place to stay.

My mother has been a resident in Chestnut care home for 11 months, prior to mum being a permanent resident she used to come for respite care.

The care is excellent, mum is so well looked after, and is very happy. All the staff are great and so kind. We are well informed about all aspects of mum’s aspects of mum’s care. All the family who have come to visit, have been made welcome and have been very impressed with the care. The home is a lovely place to stay.

I’m very happy with the care my father receives at Chestnut Care -its also very homely and friendly. There is a nice atmosphere when you go in.

March 2015

A small but well run establishment with a ‘family home’ type feel to it. Warm and friendly atmosphere towards residents and visitors. My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and had three separate stays of one week over a three month period and the level of care and attention given to her was faultless. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and will continue to use their service in future.

Small modest looking house with only 5 residents and stable staff. My mother seems very happy and secure here, although confused the simplicity of the home allows mother to cope with her confusion.

I’m very happy with the level of care my grandfather is given. Peter is very happy and enjoys being a resident at the home. The small number of residents in the home allows Peter to be careful and well looked after. The home has made me feel relaxed with the knowledge Peter is well cared for and I thank the staff for all their efforts.

Chestnut Care and respite care home is situated approx 2 miles for the city centre of Gloucester. It is on a regular bus route and in a quiet area. The staff and owners are all very dedicated and compassionate in their support of the residents. The home is newly opened and can care for 5 residents . I would recommend the home and I am very happy with the care of my mother.

The carehome is in a good location and is very homely. Rooms are spacious and have nice views. There is convenient parking outside the home for visitors. Staff are caring and compassionate and dedicated to the clients they care for. You are always made welcome when visiting and are welcome to visit at anytime. I am very happy with the care my grandmother is receiving and know that she is being well cared for.

My mother Mary came to Chestnut Care Home over the Christmas period. Mum has dementia. The owner Bibi Junglee and her staff were very friendly and Mum was treated with gentleness and respect. She enjoyed the homely atmosphere. We were so pleased to see Mum relaxed and happy in a new environment.

Thanks to Bibi and her staff Mum’s stay was a great success. Thank you for all you have done for Mum and making us so welcome.

My Grandmother is a resident at the Chestnut Care Home and appears to have settled in very well. She has a lovely light and airy room and is happy to spend a lot of time in the communal sitting room.

Bibi Junglee and her family and staff have made my Grandmother most welcome and treat her with great care and patience. Not only are they attentive with her, they make my family and I welcome when we visit and always offer us refreshments.

The premises are always clean and fresh and appear to cater to all of my Grandmother’s requirements. I would not hesitate in recommending The Chestnut Care Home and Bibi and her team to anybody looking for Respite or Residential care.

Chestnut Care Residential & Respite Home is a new Home situated in a residential suburb of Gloucester, approx 3 miles from the city centre. It is on a main bus route & easily accessible, by car or bus.

It is a well decorated & well laid out home, with all the necessary fittings for the ongoing care of the elderly. The owner Bibi & her staff are very attentive to the residents & to visitors. Our mother is a resident & is very content with both the Home environment & the staff. She is very pleased with her room & is happy when in the ample sized lounge. All in all she is happy to be here & we have no worries knowing she is being well looked after & cared for.

Mum came to Chestnut Care for a few days of respite. The home, having just been refurbished, is very clean and inviting. Bibi Junglee, with her family and team, are very friendly and gave Mum a warm welcome. Food is very good and is cooked fresh on site in the kitchen (which can also be used by residents).

Mum enjoyed her time there and as we were looking for a permanent care home for her, decided that this would be the ideal place.

Mum is looking forward to going back to Chestnut Care and making it her home.
